Cross-country skiing

 

Glide through the dreamlike winter landscape! You can enjoy this experience with two different types of cross-country skiing. Whether you prefer skating or love the classic version, you can experience perfect cross-country skiing right into the depths of the valley or up to a height of 1,900 metres. The bliss of cross-country skiing is completely free throughout the Ötz Valley.

Tobogganing

 

Tobogganing fun for young and old can be experienced with us here in Sölden. You decide how fast you want to go downhill. Two toboggan runs directly into the town are waiting for you.

Stallwiesalm toboggan run

The natural toboggan run is perfectly prepared for the whole family.

You will reach the Stallwiesalm lodge after a 1 to 1.5-hour-long hike at a leisurely pace. The alpine lodge, which is open all year round, invites you to take a short break to enjoy the many Tyrolean specialities that are produced here. You leave feeling fully refreshed ready to head back down the mountain. The approx. 5-kilometre-long stretch guides you directly back towards Sölden.

 

Gaislachalm/Silbertal toboggan run

Night operation only from 10.45pm to 1.30am!
Illuminated, 5-kilometre-long toboggan run from the Gaislachalm / from the Alpengasthof Silbertal to Sölden. Only a short drive away to the Gaislachalm (Tuesday, Thursday) or to the Gasthof Silbertal by minibus (Alpine lodge evening: Monday - Friday; Saturday & Sunday on request). Rental of toboggans possible!

Vent – Stableinalm toboggan run:

After a 90-minute ascent, you will find a 5-kilometre, unilluminated toboggan run which is also a good opportunity for descent back into the valley. You can rent toboggans locally.

 

Natural toboggan run in Hochgurgl - Pill:

You can comfortably take the Hochgurgl lift and head out from the mountain station for a whole host of tobogganing fun on this new and illuminated nature-filled toboggan run.

 

 

 

Snowshoe trekking & winter hiking

 

49.5 kilometres of well-prepared winter hiking trails are waiting to be discovered. Take some time out from everyday life in the Ötz Valley and enjoy the peace and tranquillity that winter hiking along the Ache River offers. In between, you will have the opportunity to stop by the numerous alpine huts and lodges that will be happy to host you or serve you a large or small bite to eat.
